Savitha Balakrishna MD, Vice President, CMO

Savitha Balakrishna MD is Board Certified in Family Medicine, and she is board eligible in Urgent Care Medicine. She completed Medical School in India after which she moved to America. Dr Balakrishna completed her Family Medicine training in Detroit were she finished as a Chief Resident in her last year. She has worked in Urgent Care and Primary Care clinics in the past, and has been a partner with Urgent Doc since its inception.
Dr. Balakrishna also worked as a Hospitalist physician at Woodland Heights Medical Center. She is married and has 2 children and enjoys travelling, cooking, reading, Yoga, philosophy and gardening.

Urgent Doc has many wonderful members on their team. The team is growing, as patient needs increases.  Below are some team members that can be reached for key concerns.

Carrie Iversen, CSO

Carrie began to help keeping tabs on all issues of marketing and community involvement as we grew.  She has now grown into a more involved position of Strategic planning and overseeing more of the total business side as Urgent Doc is widening is scope in East Texas.  Carrie works intimately in the top management team to make sure Urgent Doc keeps its vision and focus to be the best urgent care facility in Texas.
Carrie has been in banking prior to coming to Urgent Doc.  She was a bank manager with several banks before she became a bank software trainer, which she did all over the US.  She was involved in sales, PR and training before she stopped.  She is married to Dr. Iversen. She has 3 children and 3 grand children.  She enjoys traveling, horses, computers, decorating, Scuba diving and shopping.  Carrie is a involved with the Junior League of Lufkin, and is an active member of Carpenters Way Baptist Church.

Jennifer McCall, CFO

Jennifer joined us at the beginning of this 2011.  She came from back from California, working at KPMG in a supervisory position as a CPA.  She is originally from Lufkin, and she is a graduate of SFA.  She is involved in The Chamber and going through Leadership Lufkin this year.  Jennifer has two children and lots of family in Lufkin, and we are proud to have her join our team.

Linda Faulkner, Billing Supervisor

Linda has also been with us from the beginning.  She has the daunting job of dealing with insurance and worker’s comp matters.  She can be reached for all billing issues.

Tanya Tyler, HR Administrator

Tanya joined our team as of October of 2011.  Tanya will help us stay up to date in all aspects of Human Resources.  She has been in Lufkin for some time, and recently had the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Memorial Health System of East Texas.  Tanya is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, Ms. Tyler is certified in Human Resource Management.
